Parity
Parity (noun) - the fact (of a number) of being odd or even.
Parity is a carpooling app built to combat mobility issues brought about due to the Odd-Even Rule in Jakarta. It takes into consideration a user’s ability to drive on a particular day and pairs them with other people in the area who are unable to use their own vehicles due to the rule. Parity acts as a conduit to build social interactions amongst neighbours and coworkers, so users not only travel to work with them, but also form long-lasting relationships.

User Flow
The user builds their profile providing information on themselves as well as their usual journey to work/school. Car registration details are also required to be entered, based on ownership of a vehicle.
To ensure user safety while using the app, part of the sign up procedure requires the user to enter their national security number to verify identification. The verification symbol is featured on every user’s profile, next to their profile images.
To book a journey, a user either enters their origin and destination along with the date and time of the journey or selects from a selection of previous journeys made. A user can select a trip from the available drivers offered up by the app.
Conversely, a driver can enter their journey details for a trip, allowing other users to book their trip. The app will take fuel prices into consideration and charge a user based on the trip and deposit the money with the driver.
While on a journey, a trip plan will be available to all passengers in the car, along with messaging and calling services.
Parity includes a notification service that notifies a user to book a trip if one has not been booked. There is also a reward scheme to encourage people to carpool. The scheme involves giving the users gift cards and discounted gasoline prices.

Visual Language
When considering visual language, the aim was to visually drive away from the anger and frustration of being in traffic. So cool calming colours and an easy flow gradient are the main visual points of the application.
Harsh lines and pointed corners have also been avoided. All the type has been set in Monserrat, with a slightly looser kerning and tracking.
